Keep Calm And Carry On At Christmas

Christmas can be a very busy time for anyone working in customer service, and here at Lifehouse we’re no different!

A lot of our guests love to come before, during, and after the festive period to treat themselves or spend quality time with loved ones, and it’s very important to us that we give them the magical experience they deserve. But it’s equally as important that our team get to spend time with their family during the holidays, which is why we close from 6pm on December 23rd until 6am on the 27th.

While they are on duty, it’s vital that the Lifehouse team is well looked after, and that no one feels overwhelmed by the increase in bookings, customer calls, and guest visits.

Here are some tips to help anyone working in customer service over Christmas keep calm and carry on:

  • Maintain a cheerful tone in interactions

  • Be honest and don’t over-promise

  • Double check any FAQs so you have quick answers available

  • Support your co-workers as much as possible

  • Look after your own health and wellbeing

  • Make sure to take a lunch break

  • Go easy on yourself
