Working In The Essex Countryside

There’s nothing better than coming to work every day and being surrounded by lush greenery and the peaceful countryside. We feel very lucky here at Lifehouse to have access to the stunning gardens and nearby coastal scenery.

We don’t all have the opportunity to live in the countryside full-time, but being out in nature a few times a week can be extremely beneficial to our mental health. It can help to reduce stress, improve confidence and self-esteem, and contribute to better physical fitness. You’ve probably experienced this for yourself before – walking through a park or woodland area, breathing in the fresh air and suddenly feeling a lot calmer than before!

Working at Lifehouse gives you access to the following natural spaces:

Gardens

Lifehouse is built on the grounds of the historic gardens once enjoyed by Winston Churchill, Rudyard Kipling, and Queen Mary! Thorpe Hall Gardens were originally laid out in the 1920s and have only been developed and extended since then. Strolling through these gardens you’ll feel your cares slip away, smelling the flower-scented air and sinking your toes into the soft grass. Of course, we recommend you leave your shoes on in the winter!

Frinton-on-Sea

We’re located very near the English seaside resort of Frinton-on-Sea, the perfect place for beachgoers and visitors to relax and be away from the crowds of busier beaches. The sea front is lined with Victorian-style beach huts, a reminder of the days when the area was a favourite retreat for the aristocracy and royalty!

Despite the lovely countryside location, there are multiple ways to easily reach Lifehouse Spa & Hotel, making it the ideal working environment. We can’t wait to welcome you to our Essex oasis!
