Pool Emergency Responder Training

A vital part of working at Lifehouse is getting opportunities to develop your skills and learn new ones! Our staff are given access to a variety of training courses, and one particularly popular programme is Pool Emergency Responder Training.

As a highly rated spa and hotel we have wonderful leisure facilities, which makes it that much more important that as many staff members as possible are trained up in the proper safety procedures for such a venue. So far this year we have trained 22 members of staff in this course. That means we have all those extra people available to deal with any problems in addition to our official lifeguards in the leisure facilities.

This qualification is provided by Safety Training Awards and is particularly useful to anyone who wants to use it as a stepping stone towards becoming a fully-qualified pool lifeguard, swimming teacher or fitness instructor. It is designed to train staff working in and around hotels and leisure clubs and teaches people how to respond to a swimming pool incident, perform CPR and first aid, and develop aquatic rescue skills, including basic spinal injury management.
