Different Jobs At Lifehouse

They say variety is the spice of life and that’s definitely true for us at Lifehouse! As a big hotel and spa, we’ve got a lot of staff doing a whole range of jobs. But we’re also lucky that our team is small enough to ensure we all know each other and feel like a second family. Find out more about the range of roles we have here at Lifehouse.

Spa

From our therapists and specialists to our spa supervisors and managers, there’s a wealth of knowledge across our spa team. Their job is to make sure all our visitors receive the best and more luxurious spa experience possible during their stay.

Kitchen, Restaurant and Bar

The restaurant and bar are the beating heart of Lifehouse. While our chefs cook up a seasonal storm in the kitchen and our bar staff make a mean cocktail, everything is help together by the hard work and dedication of our waitstaff, who will always go the extra mile for our guests!

Gardens

We’re very proud of our listed gardens here at Lifehouse! Whatever the season, the gardens are the perfect place for a stroll and some fresh air. All year round, our team of gardeners work hard to keep the gardens looking their best and adapting to the changing seasons.

Housekeeping

Whether they’re making sure our robes are soft and cosy or plumping up the pillows on our beds, our housekeepers always work to keep Lifehouse in tiptop shape and give guests a relaxing experience!

Guest Services, Office and Admin

From the administrators to our reception team, our office staff are often the first port of call for guests. They keep Lifehouse running and are always looking for ways to make sure our guests’ stays are as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.

Part of the benefit of our diverse team is the opportunity to try a range of jobs to see what you like. Just look at the career journey of our Finance and Operations Director, Sarah! She joined us 12 years ago as a night porter and has worked her way up through the company to her current role. Our Head Chef, Ugo, is also known for taking on young and talented chefs and helping them develop. Some of them now work in Michelin restaurants in London!

Set in the glorious Essex countryside and close to the coast, Lifehouse is a lovely place to work – and comes with plenty of perks too!
